But all CRG drivers did a brilliant job in the 4 classes of the competition, with 2 victories, 3 podiums and 2 pole positions for the Desenzano brand. CRG is looking at another positive season ahead.KZ1: Jorrit Pex on the Top Step of the PodiumThe CRG/TM of the young Dutch driver literally dominated Final 2 on Sunday, in a race that he led from the beginning to the end. Only Jonathan Thonon and his CRG/Maxter could have worried him, without the water pump belt breakage.KZ2: Lennox-Lamb, an Extraordinary AttackerPoleman in timed qualifying, the Briton pushed his CRG/Maxter to the very limit during the intense fights that marked each of his races. He conquered the 3rd place on the last lap in Final 1 on Saturday and just missed out on victory in Final 2, on Sunday.KF2: Winning Return for TieneFelice Tiene (CRG/BMB) continued to give his maximum up to the final race, where he took the lead after an intense race start and crossed the finish line as winner, with over one second lead. Tom Joyner and his LH/BMB set about a stunning recovery from 32nd to 4th place and also set the fastest lap time in the race.KF3: Palou, a Guarantee of SuccessPoleman and winner of 3 heats, Alex Palou (CRG/BMB) consolidated his leadership position in the Championship by taking the third step of the final podium and established himself as the favourite in the KF3 international class.Info Kartcom / © Photo KSP

In all the classes, drivers wearing the well-known black CRG suits fought among the leaders. In the end, the final assessment was very positive from the result viewpoint: Jorrit Pex, one of CRG Holland drivers, won in KZ1. Jordon Lennox-Lamb was third in KZ2 Final 1, and then climbed onto the second step of the podium in Final 2. In KF2, Felice Tiene won in the most populated and hard-fought class. And in KF3, Alex Palou took the lead of the Championship thanks to his third place in the final...KZ1: Pex Continues to WinAfter the 5th and 6th places conquered by Davide Forè and Fabian Federer on Saturday in Final 1, it was Jonathan Thonon's turn to show his great competitiveness in Final 2. At the wheel of his CRG-Maxter, he moved quickly as high as second place, but then was forced to withdraw owing to a problem with the water pump belt. And right when he was in Jorrit Pex's wake! By perfectly mastering his CRG-TM from the CRG Holland team, Pex rode alone to victory, just one month after victoriously finishing the WSK Master Series. KZ2: Lennox-Lamb Fights Until the EndAfter setting the pole position during practice and conquering a third place in Final 1 on Saturday, Jordon Lennox-Lamb just missed out on victory in Final 2. He took the lead twice towards the end of the race, but then decided to secure his second place, just 0.4 seconds behind the winner. But the British driver is well placed in the WSK provisional classification. KF2: Great Performance by Tiene! There was a hard-fought battle during the final, where many were aiming for victory. Starting 4th, Felice Tiene move swiftly to the attack. His CRG/BMB-KVS proved to be very powerful and Felice perfectly managed his race, carving his way up through the pack to cross the finish line as the winner. Tom Joyner (LH Racing Team) came very close to joining the Italian driver on the podium. The British driver set the fastest lap time in the race and staged the most extraordinary performance of the weekend by climbing up from 32nd to 4th place. Fantastic! KF3: Palou Confirms His Worth!New leader of the European KF3 Championship after his victory at Varennes sur Allier, Alex Palou has kept his momentum going. In wet as well as in dry conditions, the Spanish driver and his CRG-BMB are really formidable. Winner of three heats and second in the pre-final, Palou never gave up and contributed to CRG excellent overall result in this WSK Euro Series by taking the third step of the podium. Thanks to this performance he has consolidated his position as leader of the overall classification.

Palou capitalised on the performances of his CRG chassis propelled by a BMB engine prepared KVS to win over a strong international group of more than 100 drivers. Already very fast in timed qualifying with his second fastest time, Alex raised the pace in the heats and won 3 out of 6 races, despite his disadvantage on the first bend due to his starting from the inner line. He was indeed deprived of the pole position in Race 1 after a collision in the first heat. 4th on the grid, he was hampered again on the first bend, but regained his position at the end of the race, after moving up 4 places in a hard-fought battle. He concluded Race 2 with a great, well-deserved victory after a fierce battle up to the finish line. Info Kartcom / © Photos KSP

Behind the wheel of his CRG-BMB, Alex Palou took the lead of a European Championship with as many as 117 entrants. Two weeks after his victory at the opening of the WSK Euro Series, the young Spaniard took CRG colours back onto the top step of the podium...Winning the most beautiful and difficult international races is a tradition rooted in CRG's DNA On all the circuits of the world, its know-how has enabled it to make a difference thanks to its top quality chassis. At Varennes sur Allier (France), Alex Palou, the CRG Racing Team and engines prepared by KVS all played a key role in this fantastic victory, as explained by the Spanish driver."My CRG chassis really adapted itself to all situations. In timed qualifying, the track was still wet in some spots but I found the right grip to set the fifth time. With more than 100 drivers at the start, it was important to start ahead in the heats".And indeed in the heats Palou demonstrated his worth with an impressive performance: three victories, two second places and a 18th place due to a frantic race start. In the combined classification Alex was fourth and it was in that position that he crossed the finish line of Final 1. "I lost a few places at the start, but I managed to move up to fourth after some intense battles on the track". A Perfect Chassis at VarennesIn Final 2, Palou gradually heightened the tone: he was already in the top 3 on the third lap and took the lead of the race on the next lap. Solidly at the top of the standings, the Spaniard staged a flawless performance. "My chassis was highly effective throughout the weekend and very regular during the finals. The circuit of Varennes offers many opportunities to overtake, but I managed to keep my position until the end. I won a WSK Euro Series heat in Sarno in the rain and now I have won again in completely different conditions: I am really happy with it. A big thank you to CRG, KVS and my whole team".And since good things often come in twos, Alex Palou also reached the top of the European KF3 Championship with a 13-point lead and will be aiming for the title in England, in July.

In the rain of Sarno, he finally conquered a victory at the WSK Euro Series, with just a few days to go until the inauguration of the European KF3 Championship. In KZ1, Jonathan Thonon came very close to a double podium displaying excellent speed. But the first WSK Euro Series round held at Sarno was marked by very difficult weather conditions with heavy rain downpours, while the CRG team was decimated by an intoxication that affected several drivers and mechanics. Luckily Palou was spared and he managed to achieve his best score in KF3 so far, only missing out on the SuperPole: 1st in timed qualifying, 1st after the qualifications, 1st in the pre-final and 1st in the final in addition to his best laps during the race. There is now a perfect synergy between the young Spaniard and his CRG chassis powered by a BMB engine prepared by KVS. The Canadian driver Zachary Claman De Melo took full advantage of the top performances of his new kart to gain 8 places in the final and concluded with a promising 9th place. Jonathan Thonon, who was CRG best performing driver in KZ1, showed that the work done by the team and by his engine mechanic is bearing fruits by conquering a third place already on Saturday and starting as the main favourite the following day, thanks to his two victories in a row in the heats. Unfortunately, the Belgian was slowed down on the first lap in Final 2, climbed up from 5th to 3rd place on the finish line, but was relegated to 4th place after a race mishap. Info Kartcom / © Photos KSP

For CRG, this statement proved correct at Sarno, where the first 2012 WSK Euro Series meeting was held. During the races, the circuit of the Naples region (Italy) was flooded by downpours that put karts, drivers and teams to the test. But that did not stop CRG chassis and Maxter engines from showing some great performances. Alex Palou (CRG Racing Team) dominated the KF3 final, Phillip Orcic (Renda Motorsport) won in KZ2, while Jonathan Thonon (CRG/Maxter-Tecsav) was one of the protagonists in the KZ1 class. KZ1: Thonon Masters the SituationThe weekend started particularly well for CRG in the timed qualifying session, with five chassis in the first 12, including Davide Forè and Jonathan Thonon in 3rd and 4th place respectively. In the pouring rain, the most inspired was Thonon. On Saturday, he conquered an excellent third place in Final 1. The following day, he brilliantly won the two qualifying heats, preceding quite a few talented rivals. Although the start of the race was not favourable for the Belgian driver, he managed to finish 4th despite all difficulties - he had crossed the finish line third, but was inflicted a penalty.KZ2: Honour to Private DriversTwo drivers with CRG-TM karts conquered the podium on Sunday afternoon: the Canadian Phillip Orcic (supported by Renda Motorsport) put in an extraordinary performance and climbed onto the top step of the podium, while Daniele Delli Compagni (Galiffa Kart) climbed up from 8th to 3rd in the span of 15 laps. This excellent result was completed by Jordon Lennox-Lamb's 6th behind the wheel of a factory Maxter. Orcic, who had already set the pole on Saturday, has now taken the leadership of the WSK Euro Series standings.KF2: Go LH!There were many drivers wearing LH Racing Team colours among the front runners at Sarno. This entity of the CRG group was worthily represented by the Briton Tom Joyner and the Dane Christian Sorensen. Joyner won two heats and was third in the pre-final, but unfortunately the final end badly despite his evident competitiveness.KF3: Palou, Master of the Wet TrackAlex Palou dominated the final from the beginning to the end and finished with the fastest lap during the race and an incredible lead of almost 13 seconds. Since the young Spaniard joined the CRG Racing Team, he has continued to improve his performances. In this hard fought series, he conquered a deserved victory, as proven by his leadership position in the heats, in the first qualifying session and in the pre-final. He could count again on the excellent BMB engines prepared by KVS. Performances by Victor Baptista, Rory Cuff, Leonardo Tano (AB Motorsport) and especially Zachary Claman De Melo, who staged a remarkable recovery up to 9th place, are also worth mentioning. Behind the wheel of his Hero chassis manufactured in the CRG factory, Eliseo Martinez conquered the leadership in the 60 Mini class. Leader after the heats, he won the pre-final and the final, and also set the fastest lap time during the race!

But not only that: Jordon Lennox-Lamb was crowned KZ2 champion, Fabian Federer and Jorrit Pex claimed the two first places in the two KZ1 finals. KZ2: A Deserved Title Despite the tough competition, CRG did not miss the title. The Italian factory had concentrated all its resources to win the title on Lennox in this category. And the English driver paid back CRG's confidence: he was immediately among the protagonists at his debut behind the wheel of a kart in the gearbox category and made the best of his performance in this third round of the championship. He placed second in the first final on Saturday and third in the second final on Sunday. The ranking closed with Lennox first with a 32 point lead. This result was largely enough to allow him to conquer the title in this very hard fought series. "Winning in KZ with a kart coming straight from the factory is a major recognition", Jordon confessed. CRG doubles in KZ1 After Fabian Federer's success on CRG-Maxter in the first final on Saturday - where he preceded his mate, the Dutch Jorrit Pex on CRG-Tm by CRG Holland-, in the second final on Sunday it was Pex who preceded Federer on the finishing line, achieving another outstanding first and second place. In the final ranking, Pex was the runner-up behind the winner Ardigò, while Federer managed toclimb up the ranking until his final sixth position. Info Kartcom-CRG / © Photo KSP

But not only that: Jordon Lennox-Lamb was crowned KZ2 champion, Fabian Federer and Jorrit Pex claimed the two first places in the two KZ1 finals, while Felice Tiene took another KF2 podium. On the technically challenging 7 Lake circuit at Castelletto di Branduzzo, the Italian make lived up to the expectations of its drivers. KZ1: Pex-Federer FeatMotivated by his victory last week at the Andrea Margutti Trophy (Lonato), Fabian Federer repeated his prowess at a higher level in KZ1. "The level is incredibly high in this category and winning Saturday's Final 1 was a great satisfaction to me. I would like to pay tribute to the team, which prepared a top-performing CRG-Maxter kart for me. I also set the fastest lap time during the race and I won my two heats", the Italian driver commented.Jorrit Pex's weekend (TM-CRG Holland) was also excellent. First, the Dutch driver took his third pole in three races! Second on Saturday behind Federer, Pex shifted to higher gear on Sunday and climbed onto the top step of the podium. Federer secured the second double success in a row for CRG. A perfect score!KZ2: A Deserved TitleJordon Lennox-Lamb knew he could afford no mistakes if he wanted to win the WSK Master Series. The Briton was the fastest on Saturday during timed qualifying and in the final, where he conquered an excellent second place. On Sunday, a fastest lap time came again to reward his performance, which led him to the third step of the podium. This result was largely enough to allow him to conquer the title in this very hard fought series. "Winning in KZ with a kart coming straight from the factory is a major recognition", Jordon confessed.KF: Three Top 10s, One PodiumThe CRG-BMB/KVS karts were back again on the centre stage in both KF2 and KF3. The weekend of the "Juniors" was marked by the progression of the Canadian driver Zachary Claman De Melo. After qualifying within the same hundredth of a second as his team mate Alex Palou, he managed to carve his way up to reach the front runners after some difficult heats. Considering that at that point he was only 41st, it can rightly be said that his recovery up to 9th was really a remarkable performance. The Spaniard Palou finished two places behind. But after his third place achieved in the semi-final he would have deserved a better result.

Felice Tiene stood head and shoulders above anyone else in a KF2 class with 55 entrants by scoring the highest possible number of points from pole position through timed qualifying and to his final victory. The British driver Tom Joyner, also equipped with an excellent BMB engine prepared by KVS, led his LH chassis to a second place after a good recovery drive. Returning to competition after a long break, Eddy Tinini performed very well, as Luke Varley did. At the Margutti Trophy Fabian Federer showed the form of his best days and kept the lead of KZ2 during the whole weekend, with a Maxter engine prepared in the workshop. 2nd in timed qualifying, he then won all the races and added his name to the prestigious roll of honour of the event. Coming very close to victory several times, Jordon Lennox-Lamb was slowed down by the traffic in the pre-final and then came again at the foot of the podium, sparing no effort in his battle. In KF3, Alex Palou can be satisfied with his good job in the leading pack. The young Spaniard's performances behind the wheel of his CRG/BMB are more and more encouraging. KZ2: Federer 1st, Lennox-Lamb 4thThere were as many as 4 CRG-Maxter karts that crossed the line of the final in the first 11 places: yet another proof of their high level of performance! After his three victories in three heats, Fabian Federer entered the final phase as the favourite. The Italian kept the momentum going, left his rivals behind and crossed the finish line solo! Jordon Lennox-Lamb concluded with a good fourth place, not far from the podium. As for the CRG group, it is interesting to note the return of the Kali-Kart brand, with Luca Tilloca's sixth place. The Brazilian Gabriel Dias Falavina managed to conclude in the top 10, just ahead of another CRG-Maxter, driven by the Austrian Marcel Müller. KF2: Tiene Above All the OthersFelice Tiene staged a flawless performance at Lonato: pole position in timed qualifying, victory in the three heats and then in the pre-final and final, in both cases with the fastest lap time during the race! "My CRG-BMB was simply fantastic", said the big winner of the day. "The team has done a great job, while KVS preparations have played again an important role in this victory. I really wanted to win the Andrea Margutti Trophy!"Meanwhile, Eddy Tinini and Luke Varley moved up several places in the pack, while Tom Joyner continued his excellent series with his LH-BMB: 4th at the Winter Cup, 3rd and then 2nd at the WSK Master Series at La Conca and Sarno, and again 2nd this time, a constant presence in the lead places that says a lot about the qualities of his kart and of his team.KF3: Palou on the PodiumAfter a not so good qualifying phase, Alex Palou and the CRG team showed their capacity to react. Constantly working in the right direction to improve kart performances, the Spaniard gradually progressed in the standings during the whole meeting. At the end of the final, he had the satisfaction of taking the third step of the podium, with two leading drivers very close to him. The CRG Team had the pleasure to welcome the Canadian Zachary Claman-De Melo, who concluded with a very encouraging 14th place.

These top level performances were a confirmation of his success achieved 15 days earlier at La Conca! During the final phase, the Italian driver engaged again in a hard battle with Verstappen. Second in the pre-final, Tiene could have secured this place in the final race too, but was forced to withdraw. "It is a pity when you give away points like that, I had the chance to keep the lead of the WSK Master Series before next meeting at Castelletto", Felice confessed. But the CRG group was anyway satisfied with Tom Joyner's (LH Racing Team) second podium in a row. Alex Palou continues to show his talent race after race, in a class where a few hundredths of a second can make the difference. After qualifying with an encouraging 4th place out of 70 drivers overall, the young Spanish karter drove flawlessly in the heats and even won once. He began pre-final B full of hopes, but unfortunately slipped to the back of the pack at the start. Behind the wheel of his CRG-BMB-KVS, Palou set about a stunning recovery drive and conquered his place in the final. He kept his momentum going and climbed up from 18th to his 6th final place, while also setting excellent lap times.Performances shown by Santino Ferrucci, fast during KF3 timed qualifying and Luke Varley en KF2 are also worth mentioning.Info Kartcom / © Photo KSP

Then, Jonathan Thonon moved to the attack in the qualifying heats, followed a few lengths behind by Mirko Torsellini. In Final 1, the two drivers climbed further up and finished 2nd and 5th respectively on their CRG-Maxter-Tecsav. Second at the end of Sunday's heats, Thonon was determined to win Final 2. But just when he was the fastest on track, he had to withdraw with great disappointment, postponing his victory ambitions to the following race. Things did not go better for Mirko Torsellini and Fabian Federer, while Jorrit Pex and Davide Forè saved the honour by entering the top 10. KZ2: Lennox Lamb Doubles His StakeHighly motivated after his victory at the beginning of the WSK Master Series at La Conca, Jordon Lennox-Lamb won again in this start of season. At Sarno, he put his dominant stamp on Final 1, where he crossed the finish line as winner with a lead of more than two seconds over his nearest pursuer. Fifth on the grid of Final 2, the Briton showed again all the qualities of his CRG chassis and Maxter engine coming straight from the Italian factory. Although he lost out on victory by just 0.01 seconds against Celenta, his extraordinary second place allowed him to take the lead of the Championship, with only one meeting to go.Info Kartcom / © Photo KSP

On this circuit near Naples, the level of performance was again very high, also thanks to the presence of the best international teams and of a high number of drivers: nearly 140 overall! With a victory and a second place, Jordon Lennox Lamb staged an impressive performance in KZ2, where he now leads the championship. In KZ1, Jonathan Thonon was the fastest in Sunday's final race after finishing second on Saturday. CRG chassis also showed top performances in KF2 with Felice Tiene, who is still a strong candidate for the title.KZ1: Thonon One Step Away From His GoalJorrit Pex (CRG Holland) was the first to secure pole position behind the wheel of his Italian chassis. But his choice proved to be successful already on the very first meeting, the WSK Master Series of La Conca, since CRG chassis showed all their qualities with Felice Tiene's victory in KF2 and Spanish driver Alex Palou's performances in KF3. Tiene brilliantly coped with a formidable rival, Max Verstappen, in KF2. The Italian driver used all his experience to get the best out of his excellent CRG kart and won 3 heats out of 4, and immediately afterwards conquered the pre-final and the final race. On the podium he was obviously happy to have won again and showed extreme confidence about the future potential of his CRG/BMB. The icing on the cake for the CRG group came from a fantastic 3rd place conquered by the British driver Tom Joyner behind the wheel of a LH chassis manufactured by CRG. In KF3, Alex Palou did his new team proud from timed qualifying - 3rd fastest time - to the pre-final A - 2nd place - and the final, where he barely missed the podium after an intense fight at the front. Young US driver Santino Ferrucci was also very convincing on his second meeting in Europe, setting very fast times. Thanks to a fruitful partnership with KVS, it did not take long for new CRG chassis to find their way to victory in KF, and this bodes well for an exciting 2012 season for the Desenzano company.Info Kartcom / © Photos KSP

Now, at the start of this 2012, he has proved to be a fast and self-confident driver behind the wheel of his CRG/Maxter KZ2 kart at the WSK Master Series opening round, on the circuit of La Conca. Jordon Lennox-Lamb was extraordinary, despite a weekend full of obstacles. On Saturday, a chain problem forced him to withdraw from the second heat; he then climbed up from 12th to 2nd place in Final 1, setting the fastest lap time during the race, but lost his place after a 10-second penalty that was also inflicted to several other competitors during the start procedure. The following day, Lennox set a series of fastest lap times and did not let anyone get in the way during his triumphant march to victory in Final 2. "I am very happy with my kart", said the British driver. "I was always able to fight among the front runners in KZ2, with very good times too, and in the end I prevailed. I already thought that CRG kart level of performance was convincing, but the engine Maxter prepared for me in-house also proved to be very powerful... too powerful for my adversaries!" In the higher class, KZ1, CRG drivers did a lot of development work during all the Muro Leccese meeting. Jorrit Pex (CRG/TM) took the lead already during Friday's timed qualifying by conquering pole position, and then remained at the top of the classification on Saturday thanks to his second place in Final 1. Mirko Torsellini (CRG/Maxter), 3rd in Final 2 and 4th in the overall championship classification, then achieved the best result of a team whose performance level improved continuously. Evidence of that was provided by Jonathan Thonon's brilliant catch-up race, during which he regained 10 places, finished 5th - closely followed by Davide Forè - and posted a stunning fastest lap time in the final part of the race.
